About

Hey there! I’m Surraiya.

My loved ones call me Suro. I was born and raised in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Currently living in Bangalore, Karnataka with a full-time job. I have been obsessed of traveling the world from quite a young age. From the time, I stepped out of home, I can barely recall a time when I have let go of any opportunity to travel. I truly believe any place can be best explored on foot and I have made the most out of such places. Over the years, I have developed deep love for traveling solo.

I can safely call myself an incurable travel addict. I hope I can transport the readers to places each time they read my posts on this blog. The idea is also to share the mistakes that I have done while traveling so that you get to learn from my mistakes, get the courage to be on your own and travel wherever your heart wants you to.

I love capturing pictures. With little skills in photography, I love to tell my stories through pictures, blog and videos. I wish to explore most of this planet while keeping as low carbon footprints as possible. I wish to inspire people who are still sitting out there creating a wish list, to travel, to leave their comfort zone and set on a journey, be it solo or be it in group. Step out, go to a new place, be on your own, spend time with the locals, immerse in their culture, learn, unlearn and live every single day like the last day and travel responsibly.

One can mostly find me outdoors indulging in activities like running, trekking or cycling.

Encouraging Responsible Travelling

Everyone wishes to travel. It is through travel that we understand different cultures; develop a sense of respect and appreciation for places and people around the world. Sustainable/responsible travel might sound like heavy words but it is all about making simple choices that makes a difference. It is high time we consider the impact of our choices on the environment while traveling. For me, the best part of my travels is supporting local communities who work really hard to bring in a change.
